We are a specialist orthodontic practice. We treat children (from approximately 8 yrs) and adults. This includes braces, invisalign, metal and clear, lingual (tongue side) braces and other orthodontic appliances. What is an orthodontist? Dr Lesley Short loves her labor and she loves making people feel better about themselves. She is the mother of three grown children who have all had orthodontic treatment. With over 20 years experience as a specialist Orthodontist including teaching in Australia, the US and Canada. In 2003, Lesley took a position teaching orthodontics to graduate students in one of the Canada’s leading Universities, the University of Western Ontario. During her time there, she was an outer examiner for postgraduate students at the University of Toronto and New York University. Lesley also reviewed articles for the American Journal of Orthodontics Dentofacial Orthopedics. The US are widely recognized as the inventors and leaders in modern orthodontics and Lesley gained experience in techniques that can diminish treatment time with braces to as low as 8 months, that is a reduction of 66 compared to routine treatment which takes about 2 years. Lesley’s goal is to give you or your family the maximum effective and affordable orthodontic treatment available.
