Handbuilt Stone is owned by Chris Atkin who has a Certificate III in structural landscaping and who has been trained in dry stone walling by a traditional English stonemason.
Chris is qualified and willing to build all forms of retaining wall but believes dry stone is the most attractive and lasting and is more cost effective in the long run.
Handbuilt Stone is certified to build sleeper retaining walls (timber) and install irrigation which can be undertaken separately or in conjunction with your stone feature. We also build pizza ovens, stone drains, stone gutters and garden edging.
Stone features include double-sided walls, paving and crazy paving, stone steps, entrance walls, pillars, ponds and garden features.
We specialise in dry stone retaining walls, steps and other features using several types of rock including basalt, sandstone and porphyry. (more).
